This museum programmatically expresses the complexity of a Medal of Honor winner: overwhelmingly normal Americans who performed with extraordinary courage. Working with a seed staff of two to create an idea that will grow into a major destination, it was necessary to put a process in place to make it worthy of the honor of the winners and sustainable as an institution for the future.
